Electric Motor Design Engineer

Join a leading manufacturer of high-performance AC and Brushless DC motors, fans, blowers, and cooling systems serving the aerospace and defense industries. This is a hands-on engineering role responsible for the design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of advanced electric motor products.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop AC induction and BLDC motors, fans, and cooling systems.
• Support new product development, engineering changes, and product improvements.
• Create and approve drawings, BOMs, test plans, and technical documentation.
• Provide technical support to Production, Program Management, and Sales.
• Investigate product failures and support corrective actions.
• Work closely with build and test teams to ensure successful product development.

Qualifications:

• BS or MS in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering.
• 8+ years of design engineering experience in an AS9100 manufacturing environment.
• Experience designing electric motors, cooling fans, blowers, or similar electromechanical products.
• Strong knowledge of AC induction motors, BLDC motors, electromagnetics, GD&T, and motor components.
• Experience with material selection including electrical steel, magnets, copper, aluminum, and housings.
• Aerospace or defense industry experience preferred.
• Experience with Motor-CAD, magnetic FEA, Speed motor design software, or similar tools is a plus.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
