Compensation
Starting Salary:$62,000 - $83,200(total compensation)
Position Summary
The CAD Engineer will produce and modify detailed technical drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and Micro Station. This role supports rail-transit design and construction projects by working closely with engineers and project managers to translate technical specifications into accurate, industry-compliant documentation. This position also includes fieldwork and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure design integrity and implementation accuracy.
Primary/Essential Responsibilities and Duties
- Create and revise design drawings and 3D models for rail-transit infrastructure projects.
- Translate engineering sketches, specifications, and calculations into detailed technical documents.
- Ensure all drawings and models meet applicable industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and field staff to support design development and problem-solving.
- Maintain organized digital drawing files, records, and supporting documentation.
- Assist in developing bills of materials and parts lists based on design documents.
- Participate in design and constructability reviews; provide technical input and clarification as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve CAD-related issues efficiently.
