NYC Department of Environmental Protection seeks a Chief Engineer to supervise the safe operation and maintenance of its NYC Harbor sludge tanker fleet. Vessels range 290’–350’, powered by GE, Wartsila and CAT engines, 3653–5472 HP, operating on a compressed schedule as day boats.
The role requires an MMC – Chief Engineer Limited for Motor Vessels (≥6000 HP), TWIC within 30 days, and a USCG medical certificate. STCW not required; DEP offers excellent benefits and advancement opportunities.
