Job Summary

Seeking a Drafter with experience in CAD drafting, preferably Solid Works, to create and maintain engineering drawings while following drafting standards and file management procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, update, and maintain engineering drawings using CAD software.
• Utilize Solid Works (preferred) for drafting and design modifications.
• Apply drafting standards, drawing conventions, and file configuration best practices.
• Review drawings for accuracy and completeness.
• Work with engineering teams to support product development and documentation.
• Maintain organized drawing files and documentation.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associate's Degree in Drafting or a related discipline OR
• 3+ years of drafting experience.
• Technical education in:
• Mechanical Drafting
• Mathematics
• Or equivalent work experience demonstrating drafting and mathematical skills.

Required Skills

• CAD drafting experience.
• Intermediate knowledge of drafting techniques.
• Experience with Solid Works (preferred).
• Understanding of drafting standards.
• Knowledge of drawing file configurations.
• Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Mechanical drafting background.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Target Candidate Profile:

• 3+ years of drafting experience.
• Proficient in CAD software, preferably Solid Works.
• Strong understanding of mechanical drafting principles and engineering documentation
• Available to work onsite in Skaneateles, NY
