Job Summary
We're looking for a Quality Engineer
- Metallurgical & Laboratory Operations to support laboratory operations, quality systems, and technical material evaluations for the manufacture and repair of turbine engine components. This role serves as a key technical resource for metallurgy, chemistry, materials characterization, and laboratory quality, supporting production, product development, failure investigations, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. What You’ll Be Doing
- Perform metallurgical, chemistry, materials characterization, imaging, and elemental analysis to support production, customer requirements, and root cause investigations.
- Operate, troubleshoot, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment, including analytical chemistry instrumentation, optical microscopes, and scanning electron microscopes.
- Evaluate raw materials and test results to verify compliance with engineering specifications and customer requirements.
- Lead and support failure investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action initiatives.
- Provide technical expertise to manufacturing, engineering, laboratory personnel, customers, and suppliers.
- Support new product introductions (NPI), process development activities, and continuous improvement projects.
- Train and mentor laboratory personnel on testing methods, equipment operation, and laboratory best practices.
- Maintain and improve laboratory procedures, documentation, and quality systems.
- Monitor laboratory quality metrics and drive operational improvements.
- Support internal, customer, supplier, and regulatory audits.
- Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, accreditation, and quality system requirements.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant laboratory environment.
