You will support the delivery of high-impact consulting engagements for the Department of Energy (DOE) focused on energy programs, policy, and technical program support. You will support DOE programs and processes to meet agency mission objectives and organization-specific business goals. You will contribute to project execution through research, analysis, and development of client-ready deliverables, while building strong client relationships and consulting skills.

Responsibilities
- Project Delivery & Execution: Support execution of client engagements through research, analysis, coordination, and task management. Develop high‑quality client‑ready work products, including reports, presentations, and analytical tools. Track progress against deadlines, milestones, and project metrics.
- Research & Analysis: Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to support energy program design, program data analysis, emerging energy technologies and commercialization, and policy assessments. Synthesize findings into clear insights and actionable recommendations. Support development of technical solutions and program support materials.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Engage and communicate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders (e.g., industry and state stakeholders) through meetings, presentations, and written communications in support of DOE’s objectives.

Collaborate with DOE clients and project teams to solve problems, improve processes, and create high‑quality deliverables. Work across multiple work streams and manage competing priorities effectively. Contribute to a collaborative, high‑performing team environment. - Communication: Pro‑actively communicate with the team and clients and drive project timelines and deliverables with attention to detail.
- Learning & Growth: Develop subject matter expertise in energy programs, technologies, and related policies to contribute insights to project teams and clients and develop resources for stakeholders. Incorporate feedback and iterate quickly in a fast‑paced environment.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.

- Consultant I: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, energy, environment or science‑related field AND Zero (0+) plus years relevant post‑graduation work experience.
- Consultant II: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, energy, environment or science‑related field AND One (1+) plus years relevant post‑graduation experience;
OR Master’s degree in engineering, business, energy, environment or science‑related field AND relevant internships or co‑op experience. - Senior Consultant: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, energy, environment or science‑related field AND Three (3+) plus years relevant post‑graduation utilities work experience;
OR Master’s degree in engineering, business, energy, environment or science‑related field AND One (1+) plus years relevant post‑graduation work experience. - Demonstrated experience in at least two or more of the following topical areas:
State and local energy program planning and design which could include market, policy and economic assessments and energy security plans;
Building design, retrofits, inspections, and assessments;
Energy workforce analysis training and best practices;
Energy modeling and related savings calculators;
Energy system planning support;
