Project Engineering Manager

HP Hood LLC seeks a Project Engineering Manager to lead capital and process improvement projects within our Manufacturing Engineering & Design team. You will own projects from concept through commissioning, managing scope, schedule, budget, and risk while ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced dairy production environment. Partnering with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Safety, you'll implement modern processing and packaging systems, drive continuous improvement, and support plant reliability.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects from concept through commissioning in a dairy manufacturing environment
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, and risk for capital and process improvement projects
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including operations, maintenance, quality, and safety
• Ensure compliance with food safety, regulatory, and company engineering standards
• Drive continuous improvement in plant reliability, safety, and product quality
• Develop engineering documentation, drawings, and technical specifications
• Select and manage vendors, contractors, and integrators
• Support startup, validation, and handoff of new equipment and systems to operations
• Coach and develop junior engineers and technical staff
• Promote a culture of integrity, accountability, and collaboration aligned with HP Hood values
