Location: Pennellville

Constellation Energy is seeking a Fire Protection Programs Engineer to support safe, reliable operations across our utilities and energy portfolio. In this role, you will develop and maintain fire protection programs, perform risk and code compliance analyses, and ensure adherence to NFPA, NRC, and local regulations. You will lead inspections, testing, and maintenance reviews of fire detection and suppression systems, coordinate with plant operations and safety teams, and develop corrective action plans.

The engineer will prepare technical reports, support licensing and audits, provide training, and drive continuous improvement in fire protection and life safety performance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain fire protection programs for energy facilities
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA, NRC, and local fire protection codes and standards
  • Perform fire risk assessments and engineering analyses
  • Oversee inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire protection systems
  • Coordinate with operations, safety, and maintenance teams on fire safety issues
  • Support regulatory audits, licensing activities, and documentation
  • Prepare technical reports, procedures, and engineering evaluations
  • Lead corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives in fire protection
  • Provide fire protection training and guidance to plant staff
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on design changes and projects impacting fire safety
