Sr Environmental Planner

Liro Group, a leader in engineering and architectural innovation based in Syosset, NY, is seeking a highly experienced Sr Environmental Planner to join our team. This pivotal role will involve leading environmental planning initiatives that support sustainable development and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will lead environmental assessments, regulatory compliance efforts, and the integration of environmental considerations in project planning and execution.

Leveraging expertise in urban and environmental planning, the Sr Environmental Planner will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects comply with local, state, and federal environmental laws and regulations, thus reinforcing Liro Group's commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental impact assessments and prepare associated documentation.
• Engage with regulatory bodies and manage compliance with environmental laws.
• Develop and implement environmental policies and procedures for project operations.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to integrate environmental sustainability into project planning.
• Oversee the environmental permitting process and ensure all necessary approvals are obtained.
• Lead sustainability initiatives and provide expert guidance on environmental best practices.
• Prepare and present reports on environmental strategies and their implementation status to senior management.
