** THE WORK*
* As an Environmental Safety and Health Engineer with Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS), your role is pivotal in ensuring a safe and environmentally responsible workplace. Your responsibilities will encompass both operational and strategic aspects of the site's the Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) management system. You will also play a crucial role in supporting teams engaged across RMS.

Key responsibilities:

- Provide comprehensive environmental, safety, and health services to maintain a secure and compliant workplace.

- Focus areas may include ESH Training Management, Fall Protection, Emergency Evacuations & Crisis Management, Cranes & Slings, Hazard Communication, Ladder Safety, Machine Guarding, Aerial lifts, Powered Industrial Trucks

- Represent the organization at various levels, effectively conveying the company's strategy and objectives.

- Offer leadership and team support to ESH department members.

Interprets, recommends, and complies with environmental, health and safety regulations and/or company policies. Assists in planning for changes in physical facilities to meet new environmental requirements. Finds, evaluates, and prepares contracts for properly licensed hazardous and radioactive waste disposal firms and monitors waste handling. Organizes and equips spill-control teams. Writes and updates environmental and spill-control manuals and procedures. Prepares environmental impact statements and applies for all new permits and renewals.

Provides input to federal and state regulators through trade associations and industry groups for the writing and revision of regulations.

** Basic Qualifications*
* - Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education with 1 year or more of professional experience

- Experience with OSHA, safety and health standards, EPA, state and local environmental regulations and programs

- Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel and Power Point

- Skill in working independently and following through on assignments
