We are seeking an experience Mechanical Engineer with experience in building systems to support the design and delivery of mechanical systems for a variety of projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC design and experience working on federal projects.
? Responsibilities- Design HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial and government buildings
- Develop mechanical plans, layouts, specifications, and construction documents
- Perform HVAC load calculations and equipment selections
- Design and review mechanical systems in accordance with applicable codes and standards
- Work on projects from initial design through construction
- Review drawings, submittals, RFIs, and other project documentation
- Participate in project meetings and communicate with clients, contractors, and project teams
- Help develop project schedules and budgets
- Conduct site visits and assist with construction administration as needed
- 6+ years of mechanical engineering experience in building systems
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Experience working on federal projects is required
- Strong HVAC design experience
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Knowledge of applicable building codes, standards, and federal requirements
- Strong technical and communication skills
- Ability to manage project responsibilities and meet deadlines
- PE license preferred
Experience with federal, government, commercial, healthcare, higher education, military, or other large-scale building projects is highly valued.
