Position: Quantum Measurement and Modeling Intern - 2027

** Your role and responsibilities*
* This role involves measuring, simulating, and interpreting the performance of research quantum processors and associated hardware components. Responsibilities might include conducting experimental characterizations such as spectroscopy and time- domain measurements, e.g., coherence time assessments, analyzing data to understand device behavior, and developing simulation-based models to correlate experimental results with theoretical predictions. Depending on project needs and individual interests, the position may include deeper investigations into topics such as coherence performance as a function of qubit frequency, coupler dynamics and multi-qubit interaction optimization, and model-to-hardware correlation using open-source quantum simulation frameworks such as QuTiP and scqubits.

** Required technical and professional expertise*
* * Bachelors degree in Physics or related fields.

* Experience with RF and microwave electronics, including spectrum analyzers, digitizers, sources and pulse generators.

* Coding experience in python.

** Preferred technical and professional experience*
* * Research background in the field of in solid-state qubit platforms.

* Fluency in typical python packages such as QuTiP or scqubits.

* Commercial simulation software such as HFSS, COMSOL.
