Crew Chief

C.T. Male Associates seeks a Crew Chief to lead field survey crews supporting engineering, architecture, and environmental projects. In this role, you'll coordinate daily field activities, operate survey instruments and GPS/GNSS equipment, collect and verify accurate site data, and ensure safety and quality standards are met. You'll work closely with project managers and designers, mentor junior staff, and help deliver precise data for civil/site, environmental, structural, and energy projects that positively impact communities across the region.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily activities of field survey crews
• Operate total stations, GPS/GNSS, and other survey instruments
• Collect, verify, and document accurate field measurements and site data
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company standards
• Communicate with project managers, engineers, and designers on project needs
• Perform construction staking, layout, and site checks as directed
• Maintain equipment, vehicles, and field supplies in good working order
• Mentor and train junior field staff in best practices and safety
• Prepare basic field sketches, notes, and digital data for office processing
• Support a collaborative, client-focused project delivery approach
