Sapphire Recruitment is seeking a Product Development Engineer for an industry-leading manufacturer near Endwell, NY.
This is a great opportunity for an engineer who enjoys hands-on product development, prototyping, testing, and problem-solving
. You’ll work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to turn new product concepts into functional prototypes and production-ready designs.
- Build, test, and refine prototypes for new product development
- Use 3D printing, machining, molding, and other prototyping equipment
- Partner with Design Engineers to develop and validate new products
- Evaluate designs for form, fit, function, and manufacturability
- Coordinate prototype components and assemblies with internal teams and outside vendors
- Support testing, root cause analysis, and design improvements
- Explore and implement new prototyping methods and technologies
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 1+ years of relevant experience, including internships or co-ops
- Hands-on experience with product development and prototyping
- Experience with 3D printing/additive manufacturing and basic machining
- Creo or other 3D CAD experience preferred
- Molding experience is a plus
- Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in building, testing, and improving products
- Global manufacturing leader with a strong industry reputation
