• Willingness to travel and remain onsite 5 days/week
Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Construction Manager for a top renewable energy client. This individual will oversee the construction of utility-scale solar and Battery Energy Storage (BESS) projects, acting as the onsite representative responsible for safety, quality, schedule, and budget compliance. The role involves close collaboration with third-party EPC contractors, internal engineering and safety teams, and independent engineers to deliver best-in-class renewable energy assets.
The ideal candidate is proactive, safety-driven, technically strong, and thrives in fast-paced, field-based environments.
Day-to-Day
• Act as onsite Owner's Representative for utility-scale solar and BESS construction
• Manage projects in alignment with EPC contracts, permits, schedule, budget, and scope
• Conduct daily safety walks and submit safety reports
• Partner with internal safety teams to ensure safety goals are met
• Track project progress and implement schedule remediation plans
• Lead or attend daily, weekly, and ad hoc project meetings
• Verify and sign off on construction milestones (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical)
• Review EPC invoices and validate completed work
• Serve as first line of defense for change orders, escalating as needed
• Maintain and close out ongoing punch lists
• Ensure EPC adherence to QA/QC plans
• Coordinate job walks and provide information to in-house engineering teams
• Collect, review, and route EPC deliverables (test reports, progress reports, etc.)
• Represent AES Clean Energy in alignment with corporate values
