- Assist with the design and development of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems for commercial and residential buildings.
- Prepare and modify engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Revit
. - Assist with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building-system layouts and calculations.
- Support preparation of construction documents, design calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
- Perform field surveys and assist with documenting existing building conditions.
- Coordinate MEP designs with architectural, structural, and other engineering disciplines.
- Assist senior engineers with project coordination, site visits, and construction administration.
- Review applicable building codes, standards, and project requirements.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and meet project schedules.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
. - 0–3 years of MEP/building design experience
; internships or co-op experience are welcome. - Basic knowledge of building MEP systems and engineering design principles.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
; knowledge of Revit MEP/BIM is preferred. - Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- EIT certification or progress toward obtaining EIT.
- Experience with commercial, residential, institutional, or facilities projects
. - Familiarity with applicable NY/NJ building codes and industry standards
.
