*** IMEG is hiring a Mechanical Engineering Intern in Ontario, California. Over 10-12 weeks, you'll assist in the analysis, design, and implementation oversight of mechanical systems for the vertical building industry while gaining hands-on experience through real project work alongside experienced engineers and  this role, you'll support project budgets, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help meet project goals and client expectations across education-focused work.

** What You'll Do
*** Assist with design portions of mechanical systems projects according to code and IMEG standards
* Assist with researching commercially available equipment
* Assist with maintaining client relations, project design notebooks, and documentation for permanent record files
* Assist with coordinating design and schedule with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical, and equipment supplier teams
* Assist with documenting design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring project design progress
* Assist with reviewing project documents for accuracy and completeness before final check
* Assist with preparing and issuing addendum information
* Conduct periodic job site observations and other services required by the contract services agreement
** What You'll Bring
**** Required Education
*** Completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent required
** Required Experience
*** Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferred
** Required Skills/Abilities
*** Strong interest in design consulting
* Proficient with MS Office Suite including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Skilled in AutoCAD and/or Building Information Modeling (BIM) software
* Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
