We are searching for a Mechanical Engineer II – Sustainment to join our GAL Manufacturing Engineering team at Vantage Elevation.

You’ll play a hands-on role in supporting the full product lifecycle, including design changes, testing, validation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of mechanical hardware and components for elevator systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an accredited institution
• 2–4 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience, preferably within a product development, manufacturing, or industrial environment
• Experience designing mechanical components and assemblies from concept through testing and production implementation
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software, with Autodesk Inventor experience considered a plus, and experience preparing detailed 2D engineering drawings
• Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), engineering drawings, and mechanical design standards
• Understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Lean manufacturing principles
• Experience with engineering calculations, tolerance analysis, material selection, and mechanical component design
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, casting, and/or assembly
• Experience developing and executing product testing and validation plans
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis
• Ability to interpret and apply technical standards, codes, specifications, and regulatory requirements
• Strong technical documentation skills, including engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials (BOMs), and engineering change documentation
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and other functional teams
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a deadline-driven environment
• Ability and willingness to develop a thorough understanding of elevator systems, applicable elevator codes, and certification requirements

• Experience in the elevator industry or with electro-mechanical equipment
• Basic knowledge of electrical design concepts
• Knowledge of Vault document management and ERP systems, including an understanding of Engineering Masters, work orders, and related processes

• Initiating and supporting engineering change processes, including the preparation and implementation of Product Change Orders (PCOs), Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and related documentation
