Technician​/CAD Designer

Job Summary

About the Role As a Technical / CAD Designer I, you will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed models and drawings using CAD software based on engineering instructions, sketches, and layouts. You will work closely with engineers and project teams to ensure designs meet project requirements and drafting standards.

• Create and modify technical models and drawings using CAD software.
• Produce high-quality design documentation based on engineering requirements.
• Implement drawing revisions and updates as directed by engineers and project managers.
• Follow established drafting and modeling procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Work under close supervision while developing technical expertise and industry knowledge.
• Communicate effectively with engineers and team members regarding project requirements, schedules, and deliverables.
• Ensure all drawings and models comply with company and industry standards.

• Associate Degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline; OR
• Completion of a vocational or technical high school drafting program with relevant experience.
• Proficiency in CAD software.
• Basic understanding of drafting principles, including:
  • Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Engineering drawing standards
  • Technical drafting procedures
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work within established processes and standards.
