** Your role and responsibilities*
* IBM Quantum is hiring a Summer Intern to contribute to the development of superconducting electronic circuits for quantum computing applications. Successful applicants will work on the design, simulation, and characterization of superconducting circuits, including Josephson junction devices, RF/microwave components operating at cryogenic temperatures, and hardware for superconducting qubit readout and measurement. We are seeking candidates with strong experimental and analytical skills who are excited to solve challenging hardware problems in a collaborative research environment and communicate their results through presentations and written reports.

** Required technical and professional expertise*
* * Circuit Design: A strong foundation and experience in the design and layout of RF integrated circuits.

* Familiarity with superconducting parametric amplifiers or related devices.

* Familiarity with trilayer Josephson junction devices or similarly complex device architectures.

* Familiarity with a variety of test equipment, such as vector network analyzers.

** Preferred technical and professional experience*
* * Communication and collaboration skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are highly valued for effective collaboration within the team.

* A track record of successful participation in multi-disciplinary research and development projects is a plus.

* Research skills:
Proven record of research accomplishment (e.g. publications).
