Mechanical Engineer

Are you a Mechanical Engineer with 3+ years of consulting engineering experience looking for an opportunity to work on diverse, technically challenging building projects?

We’re partnering with a well-established engineering firm that is expanding its MEP team and looking for a talented Mechanical Engineer to join their collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys HVAC design, BIM/Revit, project coordination, and solving complex engineering challenges while working across a variety of project types.

• Design HVAC systems for commercial, institutional, education, hospitality, government, residential, retail, and industrial facilities
• Develop technically sound solutions in accordance with project requirements and applicable building codes
• Design airside ductwork and hydronic piping distribution systems
• Assist with HVAC equipment selection and system design
• Develop and review mechanical construction documents
• Coordinate mechanical systems with architectural, electrical, structural, and other building disciplines
• Apply knowledge of applicable mechanical codes and standards
• Utilize Revit and BIM throughout the design process
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary engineering team from project development through completion
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an emphasis in Mechanical Engineering
• 3+ years of successful project experience within a consulting engineering firm
• Experience with airside ductwork and hydronic piping
• HVAC equipment selection experience
• Strong Revit/BIM experience
• Experience with Trane/TRACE and TRACE 3D or similar discipline-specific software
• Knowledge of process piping, fire protection, and plumbing systems
• Understanding of multidisciplinary coordination requirements
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical systems codes and standards
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
