Event Manager / Planner, Server/Wait Staff

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Under the direction of the Catering Operations Manager, the Clubhouse Administrator is responsible for scheduling staff assigned to the Clubhouse, booking race groups, and coordinating reservations for the Clubhouse restaurant.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Booking and looking into rebooking race groups, including taking payments and retrieving details regarding the group.
- Complete race package perks for the servers, including prepping the freeplay, drink tickets, and race vouchers that were purchased.
- Schedule staff that are assigned to work in the Clubhouse restaurant based on reservation and group count.
- Assist the Catering Operations Manager in the interviewing and hiring process for Clubhouse staff.
- Take reservations for the Clubhouse and take calls regarding race packages.
- Maintain knowledge of the pricing breakdowns of the menu and race packages.
- Work with the IT department regarding Agilysys button changes and any terminal problems or requests.
- Perform general clerical duties such as answering phones, copying, and data entry.
- Supervise work of the staff assigned to work during live racing in the Clubhouse.
- Responsible for processing voids and responding to guest questions and concerns during live racing in the Clubhouse.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Basic knowledge of office procedures and administrative tasks. Ability to effectively communicate with people, both verbally and in writing. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Knowledge of restaurant functions and duties. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Good organizational and time management skills.
ACCEPTABLE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCEA high school diploma or GED.
Must be approved for and maintain a valid Video Lottery Gaming Non-Key Employee license and racing license issued by the New York State Gaming Commission.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThis job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This may require the ability to lift or move up to 15 pounds at a time, move files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.
Effective communication is required. Reasonable accommodations may be made for to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
Must be available to work nights, weekends, and on holidays.
