Experience Design Manager – Mobile Game Titles
We’re looking for a talented and driven Experience Design Manager to lead the end‑to‑end user experience for our mobile game titles, including Topps® BUNT, NBA Collect by Topps®, WWE SLAM by Topps®, and others. This is a hybrid player‑coach role that combines hands‑on design craft with people leadership. You will guide a team of designers while remaining actively involved in shaping high‑quality user experiences.
You will partner closely with Design, Product, Engineering, and Art to deliver intuitive, expressive, and engaging player experiences.
The ideal candidate thinks in moments, not just screens. You understand that great game UX is the sum of motion, sound, pacing, and visual clarity working together—and you know how to craft those moments of joy that make a player feel smart, rewarded, and eager to keep going.
What You’ll Do Leadership & Team Management- Manage and develop a team of UI/UX designers
- Provide feedback, mentorship, and career development support
- Lead design critiques and foster a culture of quality
- Set priorities and align work with product goals
- Partner with the Senior Director on strategy alignment
- Lead UX design for assigned game titles
- Ensure high‑quality, cohesive player experiences
- Uphold UX standards within the team
- Present design work and rationale to stakeholders
- Create UX flows, wireframes, prototypes, and UI layouts
- Design engaging player experiences across motion and feedback
- Collaborate with engineering on implementation
- Ensure high‑quality execution through launch
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Art, and Data
- Support research and usability testing
- Translate insights into design improvements
- 8+ years of UX design experience
- Experience managing or mentoring designers
- Strong portfolio of mobile UX work
- Ability to simplify complex systems
- Proficiency in Figma
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in mobile gaming
- Familiarity with Unity
- Experience with live ops and experimentation
- Interest in sports and collectibles
Los Angeles: $113,000 – $141,250 USD
New York City: $125,000 – $156,250 USD
