A Hyatt Regency hotel and Sugar Factory opened on-site in August 2021, expanding the integrated resort experience.

Role Description

The Main Banker is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Queens, NY, responsible for managing the main bank operations that support casino gaming and cash handling activities. This role handles large volumes of cash, chips, tokens, and cash equivalents, ensuring accurate counting, balancing, and secure storage in accordance with company policies and gaming regulations. The Main Banker issues and receives funds to and from cashiers, cage personnel, and other authorized team members, maintaining detailed records and completing required documentation and reports.

The position involves reconciling variances, monitoring cash levels, and promptly escalating discrepancies or security concerns to management. The Main Banker collaborates closely with cage, audit, and security teams while consistently delivering professional, courteous support in a high‑volume, regulated environment, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications
  • Strong cash handling, balancing, and reconciliation skills, with experience managing high‑volume financial transactions in a secure environment.
  • Knowledge of banking, cage, or casino operations, including familiarity with chips, tokens, and cash equivalents, and adherence to internal controls.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization in completing logs, reports, and transaction records under time‑sensitive conditions.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills to work closely with cage, finance, audit, and security staff in a fast‑paced setting.
  • Ability to follow strict procedures, gaming regulations, and compliance standards, maintaining confidentiality and integrity at all times.
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems, point‑of‑sale or cage systems, and numerical data entry.
  • Prior experience in banking, cash room, casino cage, or similar financial operations is strongly preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in finance, accounting, or related fields is a plus.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods, handle currency and chips repeatedly, and work variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain all required gaming and occupational licenses.
