Location: New York
Open Submissions — Lighting Designer (Students Welcome)
An original one-act contemporary ballet – 25 minutes across seven dances, performed with a live chamber ensemble – presented as part of the Dream Up Festival at Theater for the New City's Johnson Theater.
Show dates:
August 23-29, 2026 (minimum 5 performances), New York, NY
Tech: TBD on the weekend of August 20, 21, 22, 2026 (4 hours)
Compensation: stipend
Design and operate/run the lighting board live for all performances. Must be available for tech (Aug 20-22) and all show dates.
QualificationsStudents or emerging designers welcome. Must have experience or interest in lighting design for contemporary ballet or live music.
