Reports toProduction Manager
Position ClassificationHourly
Position SummarySets up audio equipment for events and monitors sound board during performances.
Responsibilities- Set up audio equipment including speakers, monitors, amplifiers, and microphones
- Operate sound board
- Run cables
- Provide monitor mixes
- Work with in-house system or set up independent sound system
- Patch analog system
- Run audio from video and other inputs
- Report to production manager and or stage manager
- Keep equipment organized and clean
- Help other departments on call when needed
- Familiar with standard audio equipment
- Familiar with Sound craft sound boards; able to perform quick troubleshooting
- Be able to work independently
- Lift heavy equipment
- Work well under pressure
- Previous experience a must
The Center for the Arts maintains a roster of stagehands, theatrical electricians, audio engineers, riggers, loaders, and other theatrical professionals from which to draw stage crews on an as-needed basis.
