Technical Production Manager

PLEASE NOTE:

This position is classified for intermittent freelance work and is expected to average fewer than 1,000 hours during the annual measurement period. Scheduling will vary based on business needs.

The Technical Production Manager provides support for NBC Platforms such as NBC News Now, NBC News, and occasionally Sports, Entertainment, and Digital. This role will be responsible for managing the crew and production team to execute shows, as well as day-to-day operations.

• Freelance

• 3 years of experience in live, studio television production.
• 2 years of experience working in a News environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of studio/control room and field production.
• Leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays on an as-needed basis.

• Deep working knowledge with control room and studio technology
• Solid leadership, clear communication, excellent interpersonal, and team building skills required.
• Demonstrated management experience and customer focused.
• Work well under pressure.
• Experienced in working with DGA, NABET, IATSE, as well as non-represented.
• Excellent team facilitation and knowledge of team problem solving techniques.
• Ability to Facilitate change, serve as a change agent in the organization.
• Excellent ability to manage multiple tasks and challenges at the same time.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work within a budget.
