DESCRIPTIONThe National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) is thrilled to open applications for its Festival Emerging Artists Program
, a professional development initiative designed to support the next generation of leaders in musical theatre. Through hands-on learning opportunities during the Festival, the program connects emerging theatre-makers with experienced industry professionals while expanding pathways into careers in new musical development.
The Festival Emerging Artists Program currently includes two distinct professional development pathways: the Festival Line Producer Residency and the Festival Creative Assistantship.
The Line Producer Residency will welcome two Line Producers that will each oversee four Festival Musicals. The Festival Creative Assistantship will welcome a total of 16 emerging artists focused on the Directing and Music departments. Each of the eight Festival musicals will be supported by two Creative Assistants: one Directing Assistant and one Music Assistant.
