Technical Sound​/Light Tech Venue Duane Park NY, NY

Duane Park, New York City’s acclaimed supper club venue, is seeking an experienced, creative, and dependable Sound & Lighting Technician to join our production team Thursday through Sunday.

This is a hands‑on position working in a fast‑paced live performance environment featuring live music, vocalists, burlesque, aerial, circus and variety entertainment
. We’re looking for someone who is technically confident, has a great ear and eye, and—most importantly—can remain calm, focused, and adaptable while running a live show.

• Operate and mix live sound for singers, musicians, hosts
• Run and adjust stage lighting throughout performances
• Execute sound, lighting, music, and show cues accurately
• Perform pre-show sound checks and technical checks
• Balance vocals, instruments, playback, and room sound during live performances
• Work closely with performers, musicians, stage management, and venue management
• Make intelligent adjustments in real time when something changes during a performance
• Troubleshoot basic audio, lighting, microphone, cabling, and equipment issues
• Help maintain an organized, clean, and performance‑ready technical booth and stage environment
• Contribute creatively to improving the overall look, sound, pacing, and polish of the show

Previous live sound experience is required. Experience in nightlife, theater, cabaret, concerts, restaurants with live entertainment, or similar venues is strongly preferred.

• A strong multitasker who can manage several technical elements simultaneously
• Calm under pressure and able to solve problems without disrupting the show
• Reliable, punctual, organized, and detail‑oriented
• Comfortable working independently while also being part of a larger production team
• Musically aware, with a strong sense of timing and dynamics
• Creative and interested in making a show look and sound better—not simply pushing buttons
• Comfortable communicating with performers and production staff
• Flexible and able to respond quickly when a live performance doesn't go exactly as planned
• Professional and composed in a hospitality‑driven environment

Part‑time, Thursday through Sunday evenings.

Applicants should have consistent weekend availability. This is an ongoing position rather than occasional freelance work.

Duane Park is a New York City supper club combining dinner, cocktails, live music, burlesque, circus, and variety entertainment. Our productions are intimate, highly theatrical, and performed live, so the sound and lighting technician plays an important role in the energy and quality of every show.
