AboutThe Role
BCD Meetings & Events is seeking an experienced Senior Event Planner to support our client’s Global Conferencing and Events function. In this client-dedicated role, you will manage the end-to-end planning and delivery of events and conferences while partnering closely with internal stakeholders, vendors, and support teams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, service-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple programs in a fast-paced, regulated corporate environment.

- Managing events from intake through reconciliation, including timelines, budgets, venues, vendors, attendee communications, production, onsite delivery, and post-event reporting.
- Building trusted relationships with event hosts and stakeholders, understanding their objectives, and translating them into clear, executable event plans.
- Bringing creativity and fresh thinking to event concepts, participant experiences, and solutions while working within brand, budget, compliance, and operational requirements.
- Managing multiple programs and priorities while proactively identifying risks, dependencies, decisions, and items requiring escalation.
- Partnering effectively with GCE support teams, including Attendee Data Management and Web Specialists, to ensure coordinated delivery and a consistent participant experience.
- Using Cvent and other event technology to support registration, communications, reporting, and event delivery.
- Following established processes, financial controls, compliance requirements, and service standards while maintaining accurate documentation in shared event folders.
- Providing calm, solutions-focused support during planning and onsite execution, adapting quickly when requirements change.
- 10+ years of demonstrated experience planning corporate meetings, conferences, leadership programs, or other complex events.
- Strong project management, organization, budgeting, negotiation, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Experience working within a financial services or similarly regulated environment.
- Proficiency with Cvent, Microsoft 365, and event reporting or project-tracking tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a polished and professional approach to senior stakeholders.
- A collaborative, accountable working style and the flexibility to support occasional travel, early mornings, evenings, or onsite event requirements.
- This is an in-office position in New York, NY at least 4 days per week (M-Th).
- Occasional travel and onsite event management are required for this role.
