From Exective Producer and Playwright Jason S. Abrams, the world premiere of Gelotology Anthology (a collection of 6 comedy sketches) is seeking a Production Stage Manager for their run at the Teatro Latea with the New York Theater Festival. Producer:

November 21, 2026 The team at Gelotology Anthology is seeking an experienced non-union Stage Manager to run a fast-paced rehearsal and tech process for a festival production of a new work. Must be a strong communicator with excellent time-management skills.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Liaising between ensemble cast and production team.
• Noting and reporting for all rehearsals and performances.
• Collaborating with production team on rehearsal schedule and facilitating efficient use of time in rehearsals.
• Coordinating production needs with venue specifications and troubleshooting on-site for performances.
• Organizing/delegating offstage production elements, including set and prop tracking and scene change tracking.
• Calling all performances with the tech team.

Experience with devisory theatre preferred! Locations:
Production is currently aiming for 8 hybrid rehearsals (3 online and 5 in-person). All in-person locations will be in rehearsal studios in Midtown Manhattan. Tech and performances will be at the New York Theater Festival's home theatre, Teatro Latea in the Lower East Side (107 Suffolk St.).

Please Note:

Submissions must be local only. There is no travel/housing provided for this production.

Pay:
The SM will recieve a flat stipend of 600 USD for this production. In addition to the flat stipend, cast and crew will share in a portion to be determined of any box office profits, prize money, and funds raised for the production.
