Event Technical Manager​/Fashion & Entertainment Events Industry

Technical manager is responsible for leading a team in developing and coordinating the execution of live events starting from design conception to installation and post production, all while working closely with senior team members, company partners and clients throughout the process.

• Collaboration with internal management team on technical elements of event production
• Management of client directives, budget and schedule
• Oversight of vendor execution
• Development of site plans and layouts
• Coordination of internal and external resources and schedules
• Communication with technical AV vendors and staff
• Development of event timeline and budget
• Internal team management and support

• Strong collaborative, organizational, analytical and time management skills
• Understanding of event production processes including:
  • Budget management (and Microsoft Excel)
  • Logistics and vendor management, scheduling and process
  • Fabrication, theatrical/temporary scenery construction, scenic and interior decorative finishes
  • Audio, lighting, rigging and video elements and installation timelines
• Solid knowledge of following software applications:
  • Microsoft Excel, Word
  • G-Suite
  • CAD software (Vectorworks and/or AutoCAD)

• Availability September 2026 – December 2026
• In person work, office hours M-F 9:30 am - 5:00 pm, some weekends during this period
• Ability to travel domestically

• 5+ years experience with live event production, fashion shows, brand activations, entertainment events, festivals, theatrical events or similar.
• Education in technical theatre, design, film production, architecture, event management, stage management or similar

Day rates range from $300 to $600 per day for 3 month commitment, actual compensation will be commensurate with experience.

Possibility to extend through June 2027 or transition to full time position.
