FY26 Seasonal Tax‑FSO‑ GCR Tax Accounting and Risk Advisory – Real Estate Manager

EY is looking for a seasoned tax professional to deliver tax guidance and consulting related to tax accounting and planning for a diverse client base in the financial services industry.

• Provide tax guidance and consulting related to tax accounting and planning (internal restructurings, acquisitions, dispositions, carve‑out financial statements, GAAP conversions, share‑based compensation, financial statement restatements, and balance‑sheet remediation of tax accounts).
• Assist companies with all aspects of their preparation of the tax provision.
• Review the tax provision process to improve efficiency and accuracy, enhance the control environment, and assess tax risk and control environments beyond the boundaries of Sarbanes‑Oxley Section 404.

• Tax accounting projects and consulting experience.
• Real‑estate experience is a plus.
• Experience with tax provision preparation and review.
• Process and controls enhancement skills.
• Ability to identify, prioritize, monitor, and remediate key risks.

• A bachelor’s degree in a related field and significant tax or legal experience (MST, MAcc, JD/LLM preferred).
• Valid US Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or active state bar membership.
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in professional services, tax organization, law firm, or IRS.
• Broad understanding and experience with federal income taxation.
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication, interpersonal and problem‑solving skills; attention to detail.

• Strong ASC 740, Real‑Estate, and/or IAS 12 experience.
• Experience in corporate tax planning and compliance.
• Relevant tax experience or equivalent exposure to federal income taxation in business or industry settings.

• Salary range: $90 hr to $120 hr (depending on education, experience, skills, and geography).
