Payroll Manager

Our client is a consulting firm. They seek a Payroll Manager to join their Manhattan, NY office.

• Administer payroll processing for multiple clients accurately and timely
• Process salaries, manage tax deductions, and administer benefits across multiple clients
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws and best practices
• Collaborate closely with clients to gather payroll information and resolve inquiries effectively
• Assist clients with open enrollment and fulfill other HR-related requests
• Establish new employer payroll tax accounts as required by different states
• Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and tax filings
• Implement and maintain payroll systems
• Support client internal and external audits by providing records and timely documentation
• Protect client confidence and payroll operations by keeping information confidential
• Manage special payroll projects and initiatives as they arise

• 5+ years of experience in payroll administration and management
• Prior supervisory experience is a plus
• Strong client service orientation with excellent communication skills
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of payroll tax regulations, best practices, and compliance requirements
• Proficient in payroll software such as ADP, Gusto, Trinet, Paycom
