OCBC’s U.S. Corporate Banking team is selectively building the U.S. corporate client base across sectors including Energy & Project Finance, Renewables, TMT, Healthcare, Digital Infrastructure, Industrials, Real Estate, Fund Finance and Sovereign Wealth funds. This role is part of the team covering the active areas of Digital Infrastructure, TMT, and Multinational Corporate banking in the New York office.
RoleAssociate or Assistant Vice President (AVP) – Corporate Credit Lending/Underwriting. The role will directly support Senior Relationship Managers in managing overall client relationships, pursuing lead and joint‑lead business and working across multiple product lines.
Responsibilities- Deal processing, credit evaluation, portfolio monitoring and loan maintenance for U.S. and Head Office Corporate banking.
- Prepare credit memoranda, proposals and reviews; make recommendations on new transactions, amendments, waivers, and other borrower/agent requests.
- Evaluate credit requests via comprehensive financial analysis including cash flow, leverage, liquidity, valuation and other measures. Prepare financial forecasts with base and stress case scenarios. Conduct thorough analysis of business, credit, peer, management and industry trends. Identify key risk and mitigants and derive internal risk ratings.
- Monitor assigned loan portfolio to maintain credit quality through covenant compliance testing, stress‑test analysis, internal ratings assessment, portfolio reviews and other internal bank requirements.
- Assist in closing of transactions by coordinating with KYC, Credit Admin, Legal, borrower, Agent Banks and Hedge Advisors.
- Attend client meetings, lender presentations, due diligence calls, site visits and industry events as required.
- Perform other duties as necessary to support the goals and objectives of the U.S. Corporate Banking and Head Office.
Base salary range: $120,000–$160,000.
PrimaryMinimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience.
