Job Overview:
The Credit Analyst processes applications from new customers as well as existing ones who want to establish credit terms or adjust their current credit line. The analyst reviews the application for indications of fraud and performs necessary research to conduct background checks. S/he interacts with customers in a timely manner to gather necessary information required to process the application. Up on approval, the analyst updates the customer profile, enters credit limits in to the system and informs the applicant the result of their application.
In conjunction with the team, s/he manages department phone queue line, mailbox, requests from Sales, A/R etc. Additionally, the Analyst monitors customer’s accounts on an annual basis and produces reports as needed.
- Processing business credit applications for credit terms account.
- Investigating and assessing credit worthiness of applicants.
- Setting up open accounts with a credit limit and entering pertinent verified information on the account profile.
- Assisting and communicating with Sales, Marketing, A/R, financial institutions and businesses on ongoing daily issues, requests.
- Performing periodical review through scoring or requesting updated credit information on existing active accounts with high activity/volume.
