* Job Description:

** The Associate in Corporate Banking provides specialized financial and statistical analysis on a broad range of marketing and execution activities. Conducts research and on-going analysis, prepares supporting documentation, and assists in due diligence efforts on transactions. Associates are looked upon as vital resources, managing analysts to ensure optimal execution and providing creative input in a variety of disciplines.
** Position Overview
** Associates can expect a fast-paced, demanding work environment that offers the opportunity to learn and grow professionally. Associates work in small deal teams on a wide range of transactions. From initial client contact through closing a transaction, our associates are an integral part of the transaction process; researching, valuing, marketing, and structuring transactions and managing internal and external work streams
** Depth & Scope:*
* · Works within a deal team under the overall direction of a senior officer
· Assists in the analysis of clients' financial situations, industry and market data, and the identification of product-specific opportunities
· Assists in valuations of private and public companies
· Performs and effectively reviews basic to intermediate financial modeling in Excel
· Provides input to external client proposals and internal underwriting memos; assists in the preparation of client presentations based upon the above
· Aids senior team members with idea generation
· Works closely with/oversees junior colleagues to ensure accuracy.
· Directs, trains and develops junior colleagues to enable them to meet challenges, department objectives and achieve full potential
· Develops internal relationships in order to leverage products and services provided by TD
· Establishes an environment that promotes respect for the individual employee and adheres to the policies and guidelines of the Bank
· Maintains confidentiality of client information
