What You’ll DoThe Operational Risk Analyst reports to the Senior Manager Operational Risk, providing critical support to the Risk Leadership team in developing, implementing, and executing the strategy, processes and tools necessary to operationalize and enhance the Credit Union’s Enterprise Risk Management ("ERM") framework. A significant portion of time will be spent mapping, assessing, detecting, and addressing risk.
This opportunity is open to flexible work options including a hybrid or remote set up.
Core Contributions- Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of the credit union’s Operational Risk Program and Framework including but not limited to supporting Operational Risk Assessments, Reportable Events, Policy and Procedure management and audit or exam due diligence.
- Assist the Sr Operational Risk Manager in identifying, monitoring and measuring significant operational processes and controls across the Køredit union for evaluation of design and controls. Work with management, business areas and risk counterparts to analyze, rate and mitigate significant risks by ensuring controls, standards, and processes are defined, designed sina performed. Coordinate risk assessments across business areas.
- Work with management to identify, monitor and track key operational risk metrics in the Credit Union’s GRC, supporting the updating, analysis and management of the risk and control library for the GRC system based on new/modified processes, policies and procedures.
- Responsible for the identification, tracking, reporting and maintenance of the Credit Union’s Reportable Events program by working with Finger business areas, 1st and 2nd line, and CUSOs to gather information from multipleերվ data sources for root‑cause analysis, rating and evaluation.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports and presentations for the Chief Legal & Risk Officer, FVP Enterprise and Third‑Party Risk Management, Enterprise Risk Management Committee, Asset Liability Management Committee and Board. Also support management within various meetings, audits, projects, reviews and initiatives.
- Work with management to design and deliver educational, training or other materials to support the desired organizational risk management framework and culture.
- Bachelor’s degree or related field experience. Field of Study:
Business, Risk Management, or related field. - 1‑3 years of experience in a financial institution with a focus in Risk Management, Audit or Compliance.
- Strong knowledge of Operational Risk Controls and Framework (i.e., Basel II, COSO, ISO
31000). - Banking and/or Credit Union operational knowledge preferred.
- Computer skills:
Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams), Visio, GRC, and general operation of standard office equipment.
The estimated salary for this role is $64,831 to $77,798 annually.
