Overview
We are seeking a Director in Finance, Planning & Analytics (FP&A) to join the Real Estate Finance team and lead the financial management of the firm s occupancy expense (approximately $1.9 billion). The role collaborates with the Corporate Services real estate team and supports integration of technology initiatives and model enhancements.
This is a Director-level position within the FP&A job family responsible for the firm s budget, forecast, internal management reporting and financial analysis to provide insight into current and expected financial performance, including expense allocation. FP&A contributes to the Firm s CCAR process.

What You ll Do InThe Role
- Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
- Lead a significant set of deliverables with advanced understanding of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment
- Proactively identify emerging risks and contribute to mitigation strategies
- Model and present recommendations to leadership to improve financials and identify savings opportunities for the global corporate real estate portfolio
- Support strategic decision making with in-depth financial analysis on complex real estate transactions including sale/leaseback, dispositions, consolidations, acquisitions, renewals and subleases
- Manage multi-year financial plans for Morgan Stanley s real estate portfolio in partnership with Corporate Services
The Role
- Advanced understanding of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment; strong technical skills and industry awareness
- Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback and acknowledge team efforts
- Ability to articulate risk and impact to various audiences and create mitigation plans
- Bachelor s degree or equivalent, preferably in Finance or related field
- At least 8 years of relevant experience
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and ability to drill through to root causes
- Expert level MS Office skills with emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel
- Excellent presentation skills; ability to synthesize data for senior management
- Strong interpersonal collaboration and cross-functional teamwork; demonstrated flexibility and reliability
