Recruiting Top Talent | Non-Profit | Exec Search | Grants | Accounting | FinanceOur client is a $50M+ Social Services Organization seeking a Budget Analyst within the Grants Department to join their robust finance department. The selected individual will co‑manage both the accounting and financial side of a ~$10M grants portfolio with guidance from Budget Manager and the Controller. Portfolios will consist of city, state, and federal grants / contracts.

- Help oversee the financial management of all grants, contracts, and revenue streams - ensuring accurate and timely recording of revenue, expenses, and reporting with their allocated portfolio
- Collaborate with program managers to develop grant budgets, financial forecasts, variance insights, and strategic planning
- Monitor budgets and expenditures, providing regular financial reports to senior leadership and the board
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as specific grant requirements from institutional and foundation donors
- Audit and approve the allocations, coding, and expenditures
- Responsible for revenue recognition, payroll journal entries, and reclassifications
- Assist with month end closes and annual audits
- Prepare and submit financial reports to grantors as required by grant agreements.
- Help the team to achieve organizational goals, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Minimum of 3 year of experience in grants accounting, ideally in a social services setting
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct, Great Plains, etc)
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables and V‑Lookups)
