, is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Reconciliations to lead the control and oversight of cash, position, and balance sheet reconciliations across trading and investment operations. This is a critical control role within a fast-moving global platform—ideal for someone who combines deep product knowledge with an obsession for accuracy and process integrity.
You’ll manage a small team responsible for the reconciliation and investigation of multi-asset portfolios, ensuring timely resolution of breaks, compliance with internal control standards, and continuous improvement in efficiency and reporting.
What You’ll DoLead daily cash, position, and balance sheet reconciliations across equities, fixed income, derivatives, and other products.
Oversee the investigation and resolution of reconciliation breaks between internal systems, custodians, and counter parties.
Implement strong governance and control frameworks
, ensuring compliance with operational and regulatory standards.Partner with operations, finance, accounting, and technology teams to remediate breaks and enhance reconciliation accuracy.
Prepare and deliver aged break reports, KPI dashboards, and audit packs for senior management and control functions.
Identify and execute process improvement initiatives to increase automation, reduce manual dependencies, and shorten reconciliation cycles.
Supervise and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of accountability and precision.
Support audit and SOX reviews, ensuring proper documentation, evidence, and control design.
Collaborate with global counterparts to align reconciliation procedures and data governance.
7–10 years of experience in reconciliations, middle office, or product control within a bank, asset manager, or fund administrator.
In-depth knowledge of cash, position, and balance sheet reconciliation processes.
Exposure to multiple asset classes
—equities, fixed income, FX, and derivatives.Advanced Excel and reconciliation tool experience (e.g., Black Line, TLM Smart Stream, Duco, or similar).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
Proven ability to lead teams and drive operational excellence.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
; CPA or CFA a plus.
