Overview
Strategic Equity Solutions (SES) is an industry leader in providing holistic advice and execution on large equity positions. With access to the suite of JP Morgan Private and Investment Banking services, the team has extensive experience and resources to manage the risks and complexities of a concentrated stock position.
As an Analyst on the SES team, you will gain hands-on experience with a broad range of solutions for managing concentrated positions—including OTC derivatives, block trades, 10b5-1 plans, exchange funds, and bespoke trading strategies to unlock liquidity. You will play a key role in delivering advice and executing transactions for clients, collaborating closely with team members, bankers, and investors across the U.S. Additionally, you will help organize and eventually lead internal educational sessions to share knowledge and best practices.

As part of our Training Program, you will be joining incoming analysts from around the world, to learn more about the firm and how we do business, build technical and professional skills, hear from senior executives and build global networks. For the entirety of the Training Program, you ll have ongoing formal and informal training opportunities, as well as continued opportunities for development, engagement, and the opportunity to participate in program initiatives.
You'll be encouraged to network across the firm and discover all our opportunities as you consider your next career move. After the program, many full-time Analysts are promoted to Associates and build long-lasting careers with us.
Required QualificationsIf you are a highly driven individual who enjoys working in teams to develop complex solutions, this is the role for you. Key skills include:
- Bachelor s or Master s degree
- Series 7 & 63 licenses or willingness to obtain licenses within 120 days of starting the role
- Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and Power Point
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Eagerness to learn and apply new knowledge, absorb and digest market intelligence on a daily basis
- Strong research skills and ability to tie big picture view of the markets to client solutions
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Highly inquisitive, pro-active and focused
- Desire to work with external clients in a relationship building and sales capacity
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Sound judgment and discretion when working with confidential information
