A leading investment firm, private equity firm, or corporate finance team may seek a Portfolio Acquisition Officer to source, analyze, and execute portfolio investment opportunities. This role is ideal for candidates interested in investment strategy, deal origination, and portfolio management.

Identify and source potential acquisition opportunities across industries and asset classes

Conduct thorough financial, operational, and market due diligence on target companies or assets

Build and maintain financial models, including 3-statement, DCF, LBO, and scenario analyses

Prepare investment memoranda, portfolio evaluation reports, and executive presentations

Collaborate with deal teams, advisors, and portfolio managers to structure acquisitions

Assist with transaction execution, including negotiation, documentation, and closing processes

Monitor and track portfolio performance post-acquisition, providing strategic insights for optimization

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline

Strong skills in financial modeling, valuation, and transaction analysis

Excellent analytical, quantitative, and communication abilities

Ability to manage multiple acquisition opportunities in a fast-paced environment

High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Prior internship or full-time experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or consulting is beneficial
