The Co-Investment Specialist supports investment and portfolio teams by analyzing, executing, and monitoring co-investment opportunities alongside primary fund investments. This role blends financial analysis, operational coordination, and deal execution to help ensure accurate, timely, and efficient co-investment transactions.
The role involves close collaboration with portfolio managers, investment committees, legal and compliance teams, and external partners to evaluate opportunities, execute transactions, and monitor co-investment performance.
Key Responsibilities- Support sourcing, evaluation, and execution of co-investment opportunities
- Perform financial and operational due diligence on co-investment targets
- Coordinate with internal teams, external advisors, and counter parties to facilitate co-investment transactions
- Maintain accurate records of co-investment positions, cash flows, and agreements
- Assist with post-investment monitoring, performance tracking, and reporting
- Prepare analytical models, dashboards, and reports to evaluate co-investment performance
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, fund agreements, and regulatory requirements
- Identify operational or transactional risks and recommend improvements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field
- Strong understanding of private capital markets, fund structures, and co-investment mechanics
- Experience or coursework in financial analysis, investment evaluation, or deal execution
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with investment management platforms is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Interest in private equity, co-investments, and portfolio management
