The Private Credit Specialist supports investment and credit teams by analyzing private credit transactions, monitoring portfolio performance, and assisting with credit underwriting, execution, and reporting. This role blends quantitative analysis, market monitoring, and operational support to optimize credit investments and risk-adjusted returns.
The position involves close collaboration with portfolio managers, credit analysts, risk teams, and operations/settlement teams.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor private credit market trends, borrower performance, and transaction activity
- Support execution and settlement of private credit investments, including loans and structured credit products
- Conduct credit analysis, risk assessment, and performance reporting on portfolio holdings
- Build and maintain analytical tools, dashboards, and models for private credit portfolio insights
- Assist with P&L tracking, exposure reporting, and credit risk management
- Identify potential credit risks, anomalies, or opportunities in existing and prospective transactions
- Prepare daily, weekly, and ad-hoc reports for portfolio managers and senior management
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field
- Understanding of private credit, lending structures, and fixed income instruments
- Experience or coursework in credit analysis, private lending, or portfolio management (preferred but not required)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Python, R, SQL, or other analytical tools is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, time-sensitive environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Interest in private credit, debt markets, and investment strategies
