Fund Finance Associate - AmLaw Firm

Our client, a premier, rapidly expanding fund finance powerhouse, is seeking a high-performing associate to join a specialized team focused exclusively on Fund finance. The group is experiencing significant, sustained growth. In recent years the group has expanded to almost 100 attorneys, reflecting its strong market position and increasing client demand. This is a confidential, off‑market opportunity offering exceptional responsibility, visibility, and career acceleration.

This is a premier opportunity to join one of the top lender-side fund finance practices in the market, representing key clients, including investment banks, private credit funds, and other major financial institutions.

You will also work closely with partners whose practices include market-leading work across NAV Finance, asset-based facilities, subscription lines, and complex finance structures.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead transactions and operate at a high level within a fast-growing, sophisticated finance practice.
• Draft and negotiate core financing documentation; candidates must demonstrate significant drafting experience beyond diligence and ancillary support tasks.
• Participate directly in negotiations and maintain meaningful, direct interaction with clients.
• Support a wide range of lender-side transactions, including NAV Finance, subscription facilities, and asset-based lending for elite financial institutions.
• Work in close coordination with partners, gaining exposure to high-value, market-shaping work.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience are required
• NAV Finance and/or Subscription Finance experience preferred.
• Candidates with leveraged finance or borrower-side backgrounds will be considered, especially those with strong drafting skills.
• Strong fit for Attorneys at smaller firms seeking to elevate their platform and client exposure and Attorneys at large firms seeking more hands-on responsibility, deal ownership, and client-facing opportunities.
• Experience with asset-based finance is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, manage complex matters, and thrive in a dynamic, high-performance environment.
