The Investment Strategy Manager – Private Markets supports private markets teams by developing and executing investment strategies that optimize portfolio performance, guide capital allocation, and enhance risk-adjusted returns.
This role requires collaboration with portfolio managers, investment committees, capital markets teams, and client relations teams to drive investment insights, portfolio analytics, and strategic initiatives. The position blends quantitative analysis, market intelligence, and strategic planning to support private market investment objectives.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement investment strategies for private market portfolios
Analyze portfolio performance, asset allocation, and capital deployment to guide decision-making
Conduct market, sector, and asset-class research to identify trends and opportunities in private markets
Collaborate with investment teams on portfolio construction, risk management, and scenario analysis
Prepare investment memos, reports, and presentations for senior management and investment committees
Support capital raising and investor engagement initiatives by preparing materials and insights
Monitor portfolio performance and market developments to recommend adjustments to strategy
Identify opportunities to enhance portfolio returns, diversify investments, and optimize risk-return profiles
Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
Strong understanding of private market investments, portfolio management, and institutional investing
Experience or coursework in private equity, private credit, real assets, or other private market strategies (preferred but not required)
Advanced analytical skills with strong attention to detail
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills for internal and external stakeholders
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and portfolio/analytics tools
Ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives and deadlines in fast-paced environments
Strong interest in private market strategies, portfolio construction, and capital deployment
