The Strategic Capital Originator is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and structuring investment opportunities that align with the firm’s strategic objectives. This includes private equity, private credit, joint ventures, and other strategic investments.
The role combines market research, financial analysis, and relationship management to generate actionable investment pipelines and support high-impact capital deployment decisions.
This position requires close collaboration with investment teams, portfolio managers, legal/compliance teams, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities- Source and originate strategic investment opportunities across private and public markets
- Conduct thorough due diligence, financial modeling, and scenario analysis to assess potential investments
- Build investment presentations, deal summaries, and pipeline reports for senior management
- Collaborate with internal teams to structure transactions, negotiate terms, and support execution
- Develop and maintain relationships with sponsors, founders, intermediaries, and co-investors
- Track market trends, emerging investment themes, and competitor activity
- Monitor deal progress and investment pipeline performance
- Prepare periodic reports and insights for leadership and investment committees
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
- Strong understanding of investment structures, capital markets, and strategic deal execution
- Experience or coursework in private equity, venture capital, private credit, or strategic investments (preferred but not required)
- Advanced financial modeling, analytical, and valuation skills
- Strong relationship management and communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with CRM or investment analytics platforms is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives in fast-paced environments
- Strong interest in strategic capital deployment, deal origination, and market intelligence
