The Investment Origination Specialist supports investment teams by identifying, evaluating, and structuring new investment opportunities across private and public markets. The role combines market research, financial analysis, and strategic relationship management to drive deal flow and support capital deployment initiatives.
This role involves close collaboration with portfolio managers, investment analysts, business development teams, and legal/compliance functions to ensure smooth execution of investment opportunities.
Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and source new investment opportunities aligned with the firm’s strategy
Conduct financial analysis, due diligence, and market research to evaluate potential deals
Build and maintain financial models, investment memos, and presentation materials for internal review
Collaborate with portfolio managers and deal teams to structure transactions and optimize returns
Manage relationships with external partners, co-investors, and potential targets
Track and report on investment pipelines, deal status, and performance metrics
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging investment opportunities
Prepare regular updates and reports for senior management on deal origination activity
Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
Understanding of investment instruments, capital markets, and deal structuring
Experience or coursework in investment origination, private equity, venture capital, or corporate development (preferred but not required)
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills
Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with CRM systems, SQL, or other investment analytics tools is a plus
Ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced, dynamic environments
Strong interest in investments, deal sourcing, and capital markets
