The Capital Origination Specialist is responsible for sourcing, structuring, and facilitating capital-raising opportunities across private and public markets. The role involves developing strong relationships with investors, identifying potential investment opportunities, and supporting the execution of financing strategies.
This position requires collaboration with investment teams, portfolio managers, client relationship managers, and legal/compliance teams to ensure successful deal origination and capital deployment.
Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify, evaluate, and originate capital-raising opportunities for funds, private placements, and structured investments
Develop and maintain relationships with institutional investors, family offices, and strategic partners
Conduct due diligence, market research, and financial analysis to support deal structuring and investment proposals
Assist in preparing pitch materials, investor presentations, and marketing documentation
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance, accurate documentation, and timely execution of capital commitments
Monitor investor activity, manage pipelines, and track capital deployment and fundraising performance
Identify trends, market dynamics, and strategic opportunities to expand the capital base
Prepare regular reports and updates for senior management on origination activity and investor engagement
Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
Strong understanding of capital markets, private placements, and investment instruments
Experience or coursework in deal origination, investor relations, or investment banking (preferred but not required)
Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills
Strong interpersonal and relationship management abilities
Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with CRM systems, SQL, or financial analytics tools is a plus
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, time-sensitive environments
Clear written and verbal communication skills
